 Forefront of Tribology, Sendai 2009
Forefront of Tribology, Sendai 2009 will be held at Matsushima, one of
the three most scenic spots in Japan. The symposium addresses the recent
state-of-the-art technology and research of the tribology to the world-wide
energy and environmental problems as well as the sustainable development
of the society. In the tribology field, the development of new materials
for low friction and wear, new surface texturing, and new lubrications
and lubrication methods is strongly desired. Moreover, the detailed understanding
of the fundamentals of friction and wear in nano-scale is necessary for
such development.
The symposium will bring together internationally-known active researchers
and engineers as plenary and invited speakers to discuss new cutting-edge
technologies and researches as well as new trends and future directions
in the tribology field. The organizing committee hopes that this symposium
will be fruitful and successful for all the speakers and attendants
to stimulate discussion, to identify opportunities and to encourage new
collaborations on these subjects in new decade.
